![]() Various approaches, including physical/chemical recycled PET ( r-PET), provide a useful and environmentally friendly method to produce a value-added product for reuse in anticorrosion coating materials. It seems that blending is the simplest and most convenient strategy to overcome these problems, because waste plastics are converted into composites during blending. However, the framework of the recycled polymer was changed after numerous processing cycles, resulting in poor mechanical properties compared to the original polymer. A new anticorrosion recycling route used beverage bottles made of PET to form a surface coating material for automobile fuel tanks.
